Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles are an American all-female band that originated in the early 1980s. Susanna Lee Hoffs (born 17 January 1959 in LA, California) joined two Californian sisters Vicki (born Victoria Anne Theresa Peterson (born 11 January 1958), and Debbi (born Deborah Mary 'Debbi' Peterson (born 22 August 1961) Peterson to form a band in December 1980 in Los Angeles, California. The band is also known as "The Supersonic Bangs," and "The Bangs". Former band members included: Annette Zilinskas (1982-1983), and Michael Steele (1983-2005). In 2008, the band toured the US with dates in Las Vegas, Louisiana, Austin, Glasgow, and Ojai. Further tours included Germany, the Netherlands and at the popular Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire, England on 05 and 06 July 2008. The Bangles returned to the studio in spring of 2009 to begin work on a new album. Between 1981 and 2006, The Bangles released some 22 singles, 9 albumbs, 12 music videos, and one EP.
